In 1983, Max Werner arranged and produced a single for Dutch singer Ad Goemans. The title is "Ik Ben 'T Zat", which means "I have had enough of it"...

Max in Toppop

In this weblog entry you can see when Kayak and Max Werner appeared in the studios of the famous Dutch TV-show Toppop. In february 2013, part the Toppop archives were uploaded onto Youtube. Included was 'Rain In May'. Max also did 'Rainbow's End' in Toppop, but that one was never broadcast. I wonder if that video will ever pop up too???

Max at the Golden Harps 1981

In October 1981, Max Werner performed at the 'Golden Harps'-ceremony on Dutch TV. The Golden Harps are important music awards in Holland. In the archives, I see that Max performed 'Rain In May', but he also appeared with Kayak in 'Ruthless Queen'.

Peter Wezenbeek Band

Even after years and years of collecting, I still find unknown items.... Something I stumbled upon: a vinyl 7"-single from 1985, by The Peter Wezenbeek Band. The A-side "Verspeel Toch Geen Tijd" ("Don't Waste Time" or something like that) was produced by Max Werner. The B-side "Geen Prater" ("Not The Talking Kind") was written and produced by Max! Max donates drumkit to Dutch museum (part 2)

Today, indeed Max Werner -accompanied by Johan Slager- donated his yellow Arbiter drumkit to the Dutch Rock Art museum. He also handed over a piece of stage clothing. Johan decided to donate some items too: his gold disc for "Phantom...", a sweatshirt and an acoustic guitar. It was a nice happening, and quite a few fans got a chance to meet Max and Johan, and Max even gave a short drum demonstration!

Max used this kit during the recording of "Phantom Of The Night", amongst other things.

Balloon Astronomy

At the end of 2011, a CD was released by an American band called Balloon Astronomy. And guess who plays a clarinet intro (!) on the track "By The Strange Water's Edge"???
